Karl Hensley: V.P. Agronomy
Karl grew up in North Central Nebraska in the small community of Ewing. He graduated from North East Community College in 1981 with his Associate Degree in Agri-Business. Karl began his career with Central Valley Ag Cooperative in 1987, in 1994 was promoted to Agronomy Division Manager then in 2003 was promoted to V.P. of Agronomy. Karl started out in the Agronomy Retail business in 1976 while in high school for a local retailer. Karl lives in Elgin, Nebraska with his wife.
Gary Voichahoske: Fertilizer Director
Gary began his career in 1979 in operations and sales, working for Farmers Coop Association at Fullerton, NE. Gary worked in several areas of operations and in 1986 he accepted the Crop Management Specialist position with Farmland Industries at Farmers Coop Association at St. Edward, NE. In 1989 Gary became the Agronomy Manager at Tri-Valley Coop and worked with the company in that capacity until 2003 when Central Valley Ag was formed. At that time he accepted his current position as Fertilizer Director for Central Valley Ag. Gary and his wife Molly have 3 sons and reside in St. Edward, NE
Randy Wolken: Seed Director
Randy grew up in a diversified farming operation in northeast Nebraska. He graduated from Platte Technical Community College with an Associate's Degree in Agriculture and received his Bachelor's of Science from the University of Nebraska in Agronomy and Agriculture Economics. In 1984 he managed an independent full service retail fertilizer facility at Madison Nebraska and in 1988 he took a position with a regional seed company as a District Seed Manger in northeast Nebraska. Then in 1998 he started his career in the cooperative system as the Seed Manger for Central Farmers Cooperative. He was promoted to Seed Director when Central Valley Ag Cooperative was formed in 2003. Randy and his wife Kim have 2 sons and reside in Plainview Nebr.
Glen Franzluebbers: Agronomy Tech Director
Glen grew up on the family farm near Dodge Nebraska. He received his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Nebraska Lincoln in 1991. He began his career as an agronomist with Servi-Tech in Central Nebraska. He then moved on to work for an independent retail fertilizer company in Northeast Nebraska for 2 years with multiple responsibilities in agronomy and seed. In 1994, Glen accepted a position with Agland Coop in Oakland Nebraska as an agronomist/crop consultant where he developed Agland Coop’s crop consulting and precision ag programs. In 2003, with the formation of Central Valley Ag, Glen was promoted to Technology Director for the precision ag division, Advanced Cropping Systems. Glen has been a Certified Crop Adviser since 2004 and received the 2007 Dr. Ray Starostka Award of Excellence.
Glen and his wife Kelly reside in Fremont, Nebraska.
Neil Schumacher: Regional Agronomist
Neil grew up on a family farm near Ida Grove Iowa. He graduated from McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business Management and Agronomy. In 1988 he moved to Nebraska to begin a career as a district sales manager in the seed business. In 1996 he assumed the position of District Agronomist with Cargill Seeds covering the eastern part of Nebraska and continued in that position after the sale of Cargill Seeds to Mycogen Seeds. In 2004 he assumed the position of Outside Operations Manager for Progressive Swine Technologies in Columbus Nebraska and continued in that role until joining the CVA Agronomy team in February of 2008. Neil and his wife Kim have 3 children and reside near Columbus, NE.
Bill Roberts: Agronomy Sales Mgr.
Bill is the agronomy sales manager and handles recruiting responsibilities for the Agronomy division of Central Valley Ag located in Northeast Nebraska. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1995, Bill started his Ag Retail career in West Central Iowa. He then had an opportunity to move back to his home state of Nebraska as a manufacturer Sales Representative. After three years as a manufacturer representative, he went back to Ag Retail in Northeast Nebraska in the capacity of agronomy sales and sales management. He has been serving in his current capacity since 1999. He currently lives near West Point, Nebraska.
Nic McCarthy: S.W. Agronomy Territory Mgr.
Nic is a graduate of Northeast Community College with Associates of Applied Science Degree in Ag. He began his career in the company in 2000. Nic has served roles from operations, sales, and location manager over the years. In 2006, Nic moved into the role of Regional Agronomy Manager for the company. Nic and his wife Jenny have a son and reside in West Point, Nebraska.
Brian Todd: N.E. Agronomy Territory Mgr.
After growing up on a farm in Northwest Iowa, Brian atended Dana College in Blair NE. In 1984 he was offered and accepted his first job in agriculture and moved to McCook NE where he was employed by Cornbelt Chemical Company. McCook was home until the spring of 1993 when he accepted a job with Terra Industries and moved to Newcastle NE. His office is now in Newcastle and the door is always open. In the fall of 2007 Brian was offered and accepted his current position as Regional Manager for Central Valley Ag. While making Newcastle their home, Brian and his wife have raised two children and the youngest is still at home filling up all their spare time.
Matt Johnson: S.E. Agronomy Territory Mgr.
Matt grew up on the family farm in northeast Nebraska. He graduated from Northeast Community College with an Ag Business degree and started his career in the cooperative system in September of 1999. He ran the retail plant at Oakland from September 1999 until September 2003. In Sept 2003 he became an Agronomy Regional Manager when the merger between three successfull cooperatives formed Central Valley Ag. Matt oversees the southeast agronomy territory. Matt and his wife Kiley have 2 childeren, Reese and Reagan and they reside in Oakland Nebraska.
Larry Mathine: N.W. Agronomy Territory Mgr.
Larry was raised in the northeast Nebraska town of Bloomfield. He joined the service and then attended the University of Nebraska on the GI bill where he graduated in 1974 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He has spent most of his career working at agribusiness facilities and joined the CVA system in 1990. Larry and his wife Connie reside in Tilden NE and have one grown daughter in college. Larry works at the Elgin Agronomy office and oversees the northwest agronomy territory.
