(York, NE) – United Farmers Cooperative (UFC), a farmer-owned cooperative headquartered in York, NE, announces an initiative to develop a new distribution model to provide growers with new products and insights. UFC is partnering with Winfield Solutions, LLC (WinField), a leading value added crop inputs company, to provide innovative products and services to help growers be more successful. UFC is a WinField key account and both companies will be applying resources to provide growers with key WinField products and services, including Croplan® by WinField seed products.

Don Swanson, VP of Agronomy for UFC, commented “The first phase of the project will include purchasing a site in Hamilton County, NE to construct a 9000 square foot warehouse and office for seed storage and distribution that is planned to be completed by March 1, 2014. The project also encompasses hiring a Master Agronomy Advisor to grow demand and we are also in the process of interviewing candidates for a salesperson position to manage the facility. Looking forward, we will be collaborating with WinField to develop a Hamilton County Answer Plot® site to demonstrate various agronomic solutions of benefit to producers.”
