Doug Rowse: V.P. Feed
Doug grew up on a diversified family farm near Chambers Nebraska. He attended Northeast Community College where he graduated with an Associate Degree in Ag Business. His cooperative career began in 1985 where he worked for Holt County Coop and became the Feed Division Manager. In 1991 Doug went to work for Farmland Industries as a Retail Sales Mgr. In July of 1998 Doug returned to the local Cooperative system and became feed division manager of Central Farmers Coop. He also had grain department responsibilities before the Central Valley Ag merger took place. Doug is now the VP of feed for CVA and he and his family reside in Elgin, Nebraska.
Brian Gittings: Feed Business Dev. Mgr.
Brian grew up on a diversified family farm near Biggsville, Illinois and his family re-located to Green City, Missouri while in High School. He attended the University of Missouri in Columbia and recieved his Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science in 1987. His first employment was with GrowMark Inc.in Illinois as a Feed Sales Specialist. Brian later worked for Cargill Inc. in Northeast Iowa in feed sales. In 1992, He went to work for Hubbard Feeds Inc. and spent seven years as a Territory Sales Manager in Minnesota and seven years later in Nebraska and began working with Central Farmers Coop and then Central Valley Ag. Brian went to work for Central Valley Ag in October of 2006 and works with the feed sales force, feed and animal health suppliers and on various projects within CVA. He resides on an acreage outside Bancroft, Nebraska.
Ted Beckner: East Feed & Energy Mgr.
Ted began his career in the cooperative system in 1982 as a grain relocation specialist in Oakland Nebraska. In 1987 Ted became the warehouse manager at the Oakland downtown warehouse and was responsible for inventory and sales of farm chemicals, tires, oil, misc. merchandise, and bagged feed. In 1994 he became the feed dept. manager with responsibility over all feed locations, which at one time included 5 active feed mills. In 1998 Ted also took over some responsibilities in the energy department which included overseeing stations, c-stores, and the lubricant and grease sales and management. Ted's duties today include involvement with both the energy and the feed divisions. For energy Ted works with the east side energy operations. For feed he is the pricing & purchasing coordinator for feed and feed commodities. Ted now offices @ the new East Hub in Oakland.
Ted and his wife Sue have 2 children and reside in Oakland Ne.
James Kreikemeier: West Point Location Mgr.
James grew up just outside of West Point, Nebraska. He gaduated from Northeast Community College in 2002 with an Associates degree in Agribusiness. In the spring of 2002 he started at Northeast Cooperative as feed truck driver/mill & truck maintenance, and since has taken on many new roles such as Semi Driver, Certified Refined Fuels Driver, office operations/billing, and day to day operations of feed and grain. In September of 2005 Northeast Cooperative went through a merger with Central Valley Ag and in October of 2007 James took on the role of Location Manager of the downtown location. James resides just outside of West Point and he and his fiancée Stacy are planning an October 2008 wedding.
Dennis Hilbers: Scribner Location Mgr.
Dennis grew up on the family farm in the Scribner community. He has had an interest in agriculture all his life. Dennis began his career with the Coop in 1986 working for the Hooper coop dealing with grain, agronomy, and feed. As the Coop merged into Elkhorn Valley Coop, he was named Feed Department Manager and worked out of the Nickerson location. He continued as Feed Mill Manager as the Coop merged with Agland. When the Coop merged into CVA, he became branch manager in Scribner. He has promoted feed products, especially hog feed and has seen the feed business grow in each location. The Scribner Branch has recently installed an automated feed mill, which makes feed mixing more efficient and accurate. Dennis and his wife Kathy reside in Hooper, Nebraska. They have three grown children and six grandchildren.
Tony Woerdemann: Humphrey Feed Mill Mgr.
Tony grew up on a diversified grain and livestock farm in Eastern Nebraska. After graduating high school, he received his Associate’s Degree from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE, and his Bachelor’s Degree from South Dakota State University at Brookings, SD. After college, he worked at several different feedlots and sow units, and then began his career in the Cooperative System in 1990 in retail sales for several local coops in Eastern Nebraska. After several company mergers, he has moved into management positions where he currently is Feed Mill Manager for CVA at Humphrey, NE.
Steve Thompson: Elgin Feed & Grain Mgr.
Steve is a lifetime resident of St. Edward. After graduating from High School he worked in the Heating/AC/Plumbing business with his dad, then worked as a construction/millwright for 5 years before starting at Farmers Coop Association in St. Edward in the fall of 1987 as a elevator operator. Steve went on to be a Feed Mill operator for a number of years before moving into the office as a counter sales person and Feed Dept Manager. In Feb 2008 he became the location manager for CVA at the Elgin Feed & Grain location. Steve enjoy's talking with the customers and providing them quality products and service. He and his wife Terry have 2 daughters and 1 Granddaughter.
Robb Engel: St. Edward Feed Location Mgr.
In 1982 Robb started his feed ventures working for Joe's feeder supply in Genoa, a bulk/grind and mix delivery service for Purina Mills. A few years later Genoa Coop leased the facilities and he became manager of the feed department. After Genoa Coop became a part of Tri Valley Coop Robb was put in charge of grain and feed at that location, which in turn became a part of the CVA family. Robb and wife Kathy currently live on the outskirts of Genoa, they have three children two of whom are married.
Bill Prinz: East Territory Field Marketer
Bill grew up on a diversified livestock and farming operation in the West Point area.
He has a great deal of experience in farming, feedlot and cow calf industry. He also works with farmers and feedlots on what the proper Cenex fuels and oils to use for their particular operations. Bill will also help you with your seed and agronomy needs. Bill's specialty is to set up an on farm analysis of your operation. He will set up nutritional feeding programs for the year-long feeding cycle. Give Bill a call he will be more than happy to help you with your particular needs.
Bill and his wife Connie have three daughters and two grandchildren. They live in the West Point area.
Bob Plagge: East Territory Swine Sales
Bob grew up on a diversified family farm in Northwest Iowa. Out of high school he spent two years in the service and was stationed in Alaska. He started West Point Farm Supply in 1959 with two Army buddies from Texas. His partners went to work for Super Sweet Feeds after a few years and he took ownership himself. Bob sold Super Sweet for 48 years and built the business into the top tonnage dealer in the whole company. West Point Farm Supply was sold to Central Valley Ag in November of 2007 and he now works in swine sales in the eastern trade territory. Bob and his wife Karen live in West Point, Ne. and have four grown boys and eight grandchildren.
Jay Wright: St. Edward Feed Sales
Jay was born and raised on the family farm outside of Genoa Nebraska. Between his family’s operation and working in the feed service business, Jay has been involved with livestock production for 45 years. He spent 25 years actively involved in the family’s operation and the last 20 years working with livestock producers helping them get the most out of their enterprises. From working for an independent dealership to working with 3 different major feed suppliers, Jay has learned how to help livestock producers. From ration balancing to record keeping Jay has learned to use computer programs to aid livestock producers in making management decisions. With Central Valley Ag’s commitment to technology, Jay along with the other feed representatives are continually learning. Jay resides in Genoa with his wife Monica. They have three grown sons and six grandchildren.
Dana Andersen: Humphrey Field Marketer
A native of Nebraska, Dana grew up on a farm in the Neligh area. Dana has lived on the south edge of Albion for 25 years. He has a great deal of experience in the livestock feed industry. He managed the Norco Feeds Mill in Alboin for 8 years. Dana was location manager and in feed sales for Cedar Valley Coop's Albion location for 7 years. He then moved into enhancing livestock production & nutrition with the Central Valley Ag Coop for the last 10 years. Dana and his wife Karen have 4 children; Jamie, Andy, Tanner & Morgan and 3 grandsons.
Lynn Sellers: Creighton Location Mgr.
Lynn grew up in Southwest Nebraska and attended UNL where he graduated with a BS in Animal Science and Ag Economics. He went to work for the US Meat Animal Reasearch Department. In 1975, he joined Farmland Industries as a Livestock Production Specialist. In 1980 he took a position with the Holt County Coop as the Feed and Animal Health Division Manager. Starting in 1982, Lynn spent 11 years as the District Sales Manager for Garst Seeds and anothe 5 years as a Law Enforcement Officer in O'Neill. In 1998 Lynn took his current position as Loaction Manager for Central Farmers Coop at Creighton. Lynn is commited to serving people; which can be seen by his 26 years on the O'Neill Fire Department and 21 years as an EMT there. He is currently an EMT for the Creighton Rescue Squad.
John Nickless: O'Neill Feed Sales
John is a life long Holt County resident. After graduating from O'Neill High he spent four years in the US Navy. John was involved in cow-calf operations/ranching for 6 years then spent 20 years managing small feedlots in the O'Neill area.
In 1995 he began working in the feed industry as a sales person. In 2005 he joined the CVA Feed Sales Staff at the O'Neill location. John and his wife reside in O'Neill and have 2 adult children and 5 grandchildren.
Brad Hoffman: O'Neill & Chambers Feed Sales
Brad attended Chambers Public School where he participated in football, basketball & track before graduating in 1975. He played football for the Wayne State Wildcats and graduated with a BA degree in physical education with an endorsement in safety & psychology. After graduation Brad was employed by a local feed dealer and started ranching. He worked for the Holt County Coop in Elgin in feed sales from 1988-1989. Then in 1990 he moved to Crookston, MN where he worked at Simplot as an assistant manager for 2 years. Since moving back to Chambers in 1992, Brad has worked in feed sales for Central Valley Ag. He was a cub scout leader for several years, enjoys hunting & trapping, and serves as assistant football coach at Chambers Public School. Brad is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chambers and lives in rural Chambers with his 2 children, Matt 16 & Megan 15.
