4H and FFA youth: Have you heard of the Top Performer Program?

September 10, 2018

Summer show season is wrapping up, and I have enjoyed watching many of you in the show ring and appreciated your business throughout the year. I understand the long hours spent in the barn preparing for the show season and admire your dedication to your projects. It's always a great feeling when you finally receive recognition for the hard work you put in over the summer.

Which brings me to the question, how many of you are familiar with the Purina Top Performer Program? This Purina sponsored program awards 4H and FFA youth exhibitors who have shown cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, poultry, or rabbits and received reserve champion in class while feeding Purina feeds. Details for this program can be found at www.purinamills.com and located under the Top Performer Program Application. If you have questions, feel free to contact me at brandi.salestrom@cvacoop.com and I would be happy to help you fill the form out. What a great opportunity to get some free gear!

Besides the Top Performer Program, please remember that the Honor Show Chow Fitting Challenge will be held in Grand Island on Friday, September 28, 2018, starting at 4:00 PM.  Individuals and/or teams of 2 may enter this competition. Visit www.aksarbenstockshow.com/p/events/358 for more information. If you have not had a chance to watch our youth work as a team to fit cattle while professionals are judging them, I encourage you to make the trip to Grand Island. Thank you to all of the customers who have allowed me to be a part of their show program this year, and I am looking forward to 2019!
