As the farm continues to evolve, many producers are looking for ways to differentiate themselves or their product from others. Phil Troester, a CVA member-owner, decided to diversify his operation by producing white corn with his father over 20 years ago. Raised on his family’s farm in Hampton, Nebraska, Phil has been farming since 1977 and claims it’s the best life he could have asked for.

The day begins well before the sun rises for Allen Eilert, a grain producer near Beloit, Kansas. With two planting seasons, two harvest times, and protecting those growing crops in between, Eilert Farms is constantly on the go.
Allen is a conventional producer who farms 2,200 acres of hard red winter wheat, 500 acres of soybeans and 600 acres of grain sorghum. Of those 3,300 acres he manages across north central Kansas, Allen personally owns 900 acres.

The parking lot was completely empty, and the sun began to rise when the blue and yellow jackets started to fill the classroom. The Shelby-Rising City (Nebraska) FFA students were quickly setting up to begin practice of Parliamentary Procedure at 6:50 a.m. As the gavel hit the desk to begin, each student showed their determination to be the best. In the back of the room, you will find students judging to help prepare for competition. Once the students are done practicing their FFA Chapter Meeting begins in the same classroom.

When you step foot in the Humphrey, Nebraska CVA location, you're greeted by Connie Beller, Customer Service Specialist, and it’s quite likely you will run into Location Manager, Michael Bayer. Michael isn’t exactly what you might picture when you think of a location manager; he’s a pretty young guy. In fact, most of the staff at the Humphrey location is made up of millennials. Now, don’t judge them by their age, although young, this team has one very important thing figured out, and that’s teamwork.
