Central Valley Ag, Farmers Ranchers Cooperative announce merger

(York, NE & Ainsworth, NE) Farmers Ranchers Cooperative (Farmers Ranchers) membership votes to approve unification with Central Valley Ag (CVA). After a series of informational meetings, accounting firm Gardiner + Company certified the owners of Farmers Ranchers approved the merger with CVA by a majority of 88%. The unified cooperative will retain the Central Valley Ag name and be headquartered in York, Neb. with Carl Dickinson serving as President/CEO.  

CVA announces 2020 Scholarship Recipients

Central Valley Ag (CVA) is pleased to announce 20 students as recipients of the 2019-2020 CVA Scholarship Program. Each student will receive $1,000 to further their education in an agriculturally related field.

CVA awards Laurel-Concord-Coleridge FFA Chapter COLT Sponsorship

Central Valley Ag (CVA) recently awarded Laurel-Concord-Coleridge FFA Chapter with a sponsorship to send its officer team to the Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT) to be held in May. The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge FFA Chapter won the sponsorship by participating in CVA’s Co-op Month challenge held this past October. The challenge was open to all FFA chapters within the cooperative’s immediate trade territory. FFA chapters were invited to celebrate National Co-op Month by submitting a photo and writing a short paragraph explaining what a cooperative means for their community.

Central Valley Ag and Farmers Ranchers Co-op move forward in merger

(York, NE) – The Board of Directors for both Central Valley Ag (CVA) and Farmers Ranchers Cooperative (FRC) have unanimously approved the next step in a merger of the two cooperatives. The merger proposal will now be presented to FRC members for a vote with results being counted at a special meeting on April 1 in Ainsworth, Neb.

Central Valley Ag Announces Casey Potter as SVP of Grain

Central Valley Ag (CVA) is pleased to announce Casey Potter as Senior Vice President of Grain. He will be responsible for leading the grain division of CVA, focused on providing the best markets to local producers in the challenging grain marketing environment. Potter joined CVA in 2019 as the Merchandising Manager and was previously the Commercial Manager for the Columbus, Neb. ethanol plant for ADM.

Propane-Powered School Bus Initiative

(York, NE) On January 11, Central Valley Ag (CVA) presented $5,000 to Centennial Public Schools in Utica, Neb. for its partnership with CVA and the CHS Inc. Propane-Powered School Bus Rebate Program.  

DIRECTOR COMPLETES "DIRECTOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM"

Duane Schumacher, a director of the Central Valley Ag Co-op headquartered in York, recently completed a four-phase educational program co-sponsored by the Nebraska Cooperative Council and CoBank.  He will receive a Certificate of Recognition acknowledging completion of the program.

Calyxt Announces Collaboration with Central Valley Ag to Expand Grower Network

CVA Hosts Annual Meeting

Central Valley Ag Cooperative (CVA) recently hosted its Annual Meeting at the Holthus Convention Center in York, Nebraska, on November 25, 2019, for member-owners to review the fiscal year. CVA reported $8.7 million in Total Profit from $1.4 billion in total sales for their fiscal year 2019, ending on August 31, 2019.

CVA Applicator of the Year Recipients

Each year Central Valley Ag (CVA) Cooperative selects applicators to receive The Applicator of the Year award. This year eight applicators were named for their efforts throughout the 2019 growing season. Each recipient is chosen based on criteria developed by their Regional Operations Manager. The amount of acres they cover, along with the care and maintenance of their machine play a role in the decision, but it's not just about that.
