Quilt of Valor Ryan Lueck

Ryan Lueck, a Central Valley Ag (CVA) employee and member of the Nebraska Air National Guard, was recently presented with a  Quilt of Valor, a prestigious recognition awarded to service members for their sacrifice and contributions to the nation. Nominated by Sabryna Boston, Ryan received the quilt during a heartfelt ceremony that highlighted his military service, community impact and exemplary character.

Ryan joined the Air Force in 2015, driven by a desire to develop new skills both personally and professionally. As a Security Forces Specialist, he focused on base defense while deployed as part of Operation Inherent Resolve in Kuwait and Jordan. Reflecting on his time in the military, Ryan shared that his most memorable experiences revolved around the camaraderie of his team, recounting moments of shared meals in sweltering heat that became cherished memories.

Ryan's service earned him several awards, including the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and Air Force Meritorious Unit Award. However, receiving the Quilt of Valor holds a special place in his heart. "To receive a Quilt of Valor is truly an honor," Ryan said. "It's a reminder of the sacrifices of those who didn't return and a recognition of the difference they've made."

Sabryna Boston, who nominated Ryan also highlighted his contributions beyond his military service. Ryan was instrumental in forging a partnership between CVA and the York 4-H Claybusters trap team, securing a donation and CVA-branded socks for participants. He even joined the team at practice, participating in their tradition of shooting at hats to celebrate perfect scores, demonstrating his commitment to uplifting and celebrating the community's youth.

Ryan expressed deep gratitude to Sabryna and her family for their efforts in creating the quilt and organizing the ceremony, as well as to his CVA team members and leadership for their unwavering support. "The Quilt of Valor is not only a personal honor, but also a reflection of the incredible people around me who inspire and encourage me every day," Ryan shared.

Central Valley Ag is proud to recognize Ryan's dedication to both his country and his community. His service exemplifies the cooperative spirit of CVA, inspiring those around him to give back and make a difference.
