Central Valley Ag (CVA) cooperative announces 2021 CVA Photo Contest winners.

CVA is proud to recognize four winners from the 4th annual CVA Photo Contest. With 200 photo submissions, four winners were recognized, one from each category, and one People’s Choice Award was selected by obtaining the most likes, shares and comments on Facebook.

Laura Johnson of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, was the winner of the category “Beauty in Agriculture with her photo, “My father is a farmer, his heart is in the soil.”

Kelly Seier of Petersburg, Neb. was the winner of the category “Generations on the Farm” with her photo, “Farming generations.”

Jim Scott of Randolph, Neb. was the winner of the category “Cooperative Spirit” with his photo, “ACS Equipment Salesman, Andy Baird, helping us put our corn plot in at the CVA 81/20 location.”

Derek Worm of David City, Neb. was the winner of the People’s Choice Award with his photo, “My 6-month-old boy, Layton, checking up on our cows.” The photo received 117 likes, 27 comments and 30 shares.

The three category winners were selected by an internal panel of judges and awarded $50 cash gift cards. Winners will also receive special placement in select print and online publications, including: CVA website, social media, brochures, postcards and other materials.

The CVA Photo contest accepted photo entries June 7 through July 7, 2021. Designed to highlight all facets of agriculture using vivid imagery, Tom Palmertree, Senior Vice President of Marketing for CVA, says the photo contest was once again a big success.

“We are always looking for ways to get engaged with our communities,” Palmertree says. “The member-owners we serve, and the employees who work to serve them, represents who we are as a cooperative, and the images shared truly capture that.”
