Central Valley Ag Donates to NE FFA Foundation

Feb 18, 2019

(York, NE) – The Nebraska FFA Foundation started their eighth annual I Believe in the Future of Ag fundraising campaign in September 2018. This campaign helps local FFA chapters raise money for innovative projects in their classrooms, leadership programming, community service projects, and field trips to advance agriculture education in their schools.
"FFA provides opportunities for the youth in our surrounding areas to stay connected to agriculture in a way that not only benefits our company but more importantly benefits our communities," says Carl Dickinson, CEO of Central Valley Ag. "Students are able to enhance their education in a whole new way, and we are eager to be a part of these learning opportunities."
$300,000 was the local fundraising goal this year. Donors to the I Believe in the Future of Ag campaign choose which chapter they support. 100 percent of each local donation will be sent back to the designated chapter at the end of the campaign, and a portion of the $35,000 challenge matching pool will be distributed to participating chapters.
"Central Valley Ag was the flagship corporate sponsor when this program started eight years ago," says Stacey Agnew, FFA Executive Director, "This would not have become what it was without the help of CVA, their continued support and assistance in promoting this campaign over the years has greatly contributed to its success."
Carl Dickinson presented a check for $25,000.00 to Stacey Agnew and Nickolas Birdsley, a freshman at UNL, on February 13, 2019. This check will support the "I Believe" campaign along with other Nebraska FFA programs.
"FFA provided me a place where I was valued for not just my work ethic but my conviction to make something of myself and the tools and opportunities to do," said Nickolas Birdsley.
The mission of the Nebraska FFA Foundation is to enhance quality education/FFA programs to achieve excellence in leadership development, curriculum innovation and academic advancement of students. For more information, visit
