CVA Donates 30,000 Meals to Food Bank for the Heartland as Part of its 'Our Planet is Hungry Campaign'

Central Valley Ag (CVA) cooperative is proud to announce a $10,000 donation to the Food Bank for the Heartland, providing 30,000 meals to those facing hunger. This contribution aligns with CVA's "Our Planet is Hungry" campaign, an initiative launched last fall to address global hunger while prioritizing local communities.

"At CVA, our commitment to nourishing the world begins at home," said Owen Baker, SVP of Marketing at CVA. "We're dedicated to ensuring every child and family has access to the food they need."

Through CVA’s partnership with the Nebraska Huskers, CVA sponsored a 3-pointer initiative throughout the men’s and women’s 2023-2024 basketball season where every Husker basket made beyond the arc, CVA pledged a donation to the Kansas Food Bank.

"Partnering with the Food Bank for the Heartland has been a privilege," Baker said. "Every Husker three-pointer became a game-changer in the fight against food insecurity."

Over 69 games, the Huskers sunk an impressive 611 three-pointers (292 by the women's team and 319 by the men's team). With this added level of fun per game, CVA is thrilled to share this donation with the Food Bank for the Heartland so they can continue their work in eliminating hunger in by ensuring consistent access to healthy foods through community partnerships.
