Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Iowa State University, and a Master of Science in Agricultural and Consumer Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  The master degree included a thesis titled “Weather, Corn and Soybean Yields, and Technology in the U.S. Corn Belt” that provided an extensive literature review of weather and yield studies starting in the 1800s, and a comprehensive update with modern statistics of the relationship between weather, technology, and yields.

Delaney Howell grew up on a grain and livestock farm in Southeast Iowa and has been involved in agriculture from an incredibly young age. Wearing lots of different hats as an analyst, journalist, and farmer, Delaney strives to brings her unique perspective to audiences all over the globe. She holds a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Communications from Texas Tech University and has spent nearly a decade in the ag media realm
